Privacy Policy

Your privacy and choices

Live Happier is operated by BEST2DAYEV3R. We provide the same app features regardless of measurement choices. Optional adult ad measurement starts off and Apple’s tracking prompt appears once before the StoreKit plans; either answer continues to the same purchase options. Anonymous usage reporting is offered after paid access begins. Change either choice later in Bloom → Profile & Settings → Privacy choices.

Private journals and monthly reflections

Private journal entries, moods, journal photos and monthly intentions/reflections are stored on your device. We do not send their contents to analytics or Meta. Backups and exports you choose may contain this local data. Content you separately publish in Community is handled as Community data, not a private journal.

Community, your garden and accounts

When you sign in and use connected features, Convex stores your sign-in identifier, display name, optional email supplied by Apple (which may be a relay address), profile information, posts, comments, likes, friendships, requests and sunshine. Shared plant/garden details, progression, cosmetic inventory, course progress, moderation reports and blocks are also stored to power those features. Profile and published content may be visible to other members. Change discovery visibility in Settings.

Apple handles Sign in with Apple; we do not receive your Apple password. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token associated with your account to deliver notifications through Apple.

Payments

Apple processes subscriptions. We receive subscription status, product and expiration information to provide access, not payment-card details. Apple’s reports provide sales, renewals, refunds and proceeds.

Optional app usage counts

If you choose “Share usage counts,” the app sends fixed action names and counts, such as onboarding steps viewed, checkout outcomes, journal-save actions, course completion, tab visits and friendship actions, plus the app version. No entered text, mood values, photos, names, emails, account IDs, advertising IDs or persistent device/install/session identifiers are included.

Convex combines these into daily per-version totals. A random, one-use upload receipt prevents duplicate counting during retries and is not reused across uploads. Unsent counts are retained locally for up to 24 hours; server receipts expire after seven days and totals after 90 days through scheduled cleanup. Turning sharing off clears unsent counts and stops new collection. Totals cannot be traced to an individual for deletion because that connection is not retained. Counts describe opted-in activity, not every user or exact individual conversion journeys.

Optional adult ad measurement with Meta

Ad measurement is separate and only for people 18 or older. Before StoreKit checkout, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt explains the purpose and asks whether to allow tracking. Choosing Allow confirms this optional adult measurement choice; choosing Ask App Not to Track continues without it. The app initializes Meta’s Facebook SDK only after Apple reports authorization. Neither answer is required for features or purchases. Do not choose Allow for this purpose if you are under 18.

When enabled, we send app activation and verified new trial/subscription-start events, with available value and currency for paid starts. Meta’s SDK also processes device identifiers, network/device information and SDK diagnostics. Meta may associate permitted events with information from its services and other businesses for ad measurement, optimization and personalization. We do not send journal text, moods, photos, Community content, friend lists, course activity, names, emails or our account IDs to Meta. Automatic event suggestions, automatic purchase logging and advanced matching are disabled.

Free trials are not reported as paid revenue; restores are not new purchases. We do not export historical activity when you opt in. Turn off ad measurement in the app or tracking permission in iPhone Settings to stop our new ad events. This does not recall data already sent. Meta controls its own retention and account privacy choices under its privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.

Service providers and website measurement

We use Convex for connected features and usage counters, Apple for authentication, payments and push, and Vercel for website hosting. Providers process network information such as IP addresses as needed to deliver and secure requests; our usage tables do not store IP addresses. Data may be processed outside your country. Administrative reports require authorized access.

The website separately uses Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Vercel Web Analytics for visits and engagement. These tools are not embedded in the iOS journal. Private admin pages do not initialize these website analytics integrations. Clarity respects browser privacy signals supported by our integration. Private journal content is not supplied to these tools.

Children and families

Live Happier has one feature set, not a separate children’s edition. The App Store age rating describes content suitability, not permission to collect personal information or target children with ads. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s Community use and avoid posting identifying information. Adult ad measurement must remain off for anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information that should not have been collected, contact us to investigate and arrange deletion and any required parental consent. Applicable parental-consent requirements still apply.

Retention, access and deletion

Local journals remain until deleted or the app is removed, subject to your own backups. Community records remain while needed for your account and features. Use Delete Account in Settings to remove your account and associated Community data, or contact us for help. Signing out or uninstalling alone does not delete Community data. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription. Limited records may be retained where required for legal, security or dispute-resolution reasons.

Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or exercise applicable privacy rights. We do not sell private journals. Optional ad-event disclosure to Meta may constitute sharing for targeted advertising under some laws; leave ad measurement off to decline it.

Updates and contact

We update this policy when our practices change and update the date above. For privacy questions or requests, email best2dayev3r@gmail.com.
